Quoll Artists Gallery
Quoll Artists Gallery was established in 2002 and leases venue 006 within the historic Salamanca Arts Centre in Hobart, Tasmania. The Gallery operates as an artist run co-operative comprised of a maximum of eight local Tasmanian artists who exhibit and retail a diverse range of contemporary and unique artworks. The Gallery features fine art, jewellery, textiles, glassworks and unique Tasmanian handmade crafts.
The ethos of the gallery is to have a diverse membership and each artist brings to the gallery a different and unique style of art. The members are not in competition with each other but support each other in a co-operative manner.
The gallery’s monthly rental is equally shared between all members and the members also equally share the duty roster. Because the gallery is operated by the artists themselves there is no mark up on members’ items for sale. The gallery retains a small commission to cover bank fees, insurance and stationery.
