Sally Ferrar
Sally is the founding member of Quoll Artist Gallery, which, has been running successfully for over 20 years. Following her time at Tasmania School of Art, Sally pursued her love of jewellery design, managing a jewellery shop and working with a silver smith.
Sally lives and works from her studio at Copping were she has been designing jewellery for more than 15 years. Her main aim is to make unique Tasmanian jewellery using inspiration from the nature and beauty that surrounds her including abalone shells, fresh water pearls, photographs, and bird feathers. After surviving intense bush fires in January 2013, Sally incorporates black ash from the fires in a unique way. Black ash is set in silver Bessel with red crushed glass and sparkles and a silver tree of life with a dome of resin makes a stunning design.
Sally has recently won a major business excellence award for her innovative designs.
